I’ve been wanting to do this for a while, but I had been waiting until I needed to fill the time with her as we sit together. I would love to be able to read your Mitzi Memories to her to help calm and comfort her. If you have any thoughts to share, please do so below or even in a private message to me if you’d rather and I will read them to her. There are hundreds of people who have been following Mitzi’s courageous fight against Early Onset Alzheimer’s Disease, even though they have never met her. This is a wonderful opportunity to share the Mitzi the rest of us know and love with them.
One of my earliest desires in chronicling Mitzi’s journey was because I wanted her kids to be able to know who their Mom was before Alzheimer’s started to try to erase her. I know that I never fully started to appreciate my own parents as people instead of just seeing them as my parents until I was an adult…not even until I was married and had kids of my own did I really start to see who they were outside of just being my parents. Knowing Mitzi’s son and daughter weren’t going to have that luxury of time with their Mom, I wanted to try and capture some of the stories of the memories that make up Mitzi’s life.
So please share below. I’d be honored to get to read your words to her so we can all remember for Mitzi…????
