Mitzi has more longtime close friendships than anyone I’ve ever known. Which says so much about her. But today she had a visit from her sister Angela and Angela’s lifelong BFF, and I just love watching the three of them get together. There is always laughter, always reminiscing, and always love.
Angela and I were talking while we were helping Mitzi get ready for her nap this morning and we agreed that you honestly do not ever know what your life is going to look like. Because this is so not the life anyone ever envisioned for Mitzi. Helping her sister brush her teeth and holding her up to walk was the farthest thing from any remote possibility Angela could have imagined 10, 20, 30 years ago. But if you’re like Mitzi, and you have people by your side who you truly cherish and who truly cherish you…especially those who will talk softly to you and brush your hair off of your face while you’re drifting off to sleep, you are very rich in what matters most…????
