Bringing Awareness, Hope & Encouragement To The Fight Against Alzheimer's Disease & Dementia

As her friend, I will neither deny nor confirm that this is actually Mitzi’s hand and that this is a plate of berry-topped Belgian Waffle pieces (smothered in syrup) at lunch today. Of course it couldn’t be her because Mitzi’s signature lunch is some kind of salad with chicken usually, and is generally topped with honey mustard dressing. None of which is pictured here. ????

Lately, more than usual, it’s been tougher for Mitzi to find a fork amidst the different things on her plate. I’m on the hunt for good quality red disposable forks and spoons because they are easier for her to see. When she opts to pick things up with her fingers, I just go with it. Sometimes we get quizzical looks. But more often than not, most people just move on without making a fuss about it. I’m grateful she still has a good appetite and can still enjoy spending time nurturing relationships, as was the case today when we met up with her best friend since high school… ????
