Bringing Awareness, Hope & Encouragement To The Fight Against Alzheimer's Disease & Dementia

I tend to lead life at a pretty hectic pace. I have two young boys, a husband, a house, a dog, a full-time job, a part-time job, and I am blessed with a large extended family of friends.

However, that frantic pace and all of those responsibilities tend to fall away when I go to Mitzi’s to pick her up. I can’t even drive to her house very fast! To get to her neighborhood, a 25MPH speed limit is strictly enforced by police. It helps to put me into the right frame of mind before I get to her, actually.

I have been learning so much from her about taking time to slow down. When you’re with someone whose concept of time is waning so significantly, you realize a lot of things that used to seem important, really are not. What is important, is living in the moment with the people who matter most in your life…and making those moments count.❤️
