According to 2019 stats from the Alzheimer’s Association, every 65 seconds someone is diagnosed with the disease. Not only that, but between 2000 and 2017, deaths from heart disease have decreased by 9% while deaths from Alzheimer’s disease have increased by 145%. In light of that info, it was especially disappointing to see this headline when I picked up the paper on my way up to Mitzi’s door this morning.
We’re going to continue to do what we can to raise awareness of this disease, and we’re keeping up the hope that there is a cure that is found quickly and becomes accessible to the masses. ????????
