What a way to end the week! No matter where we went today, we unexpectedly ran into friends with hugs! We’ve tweaked our schedule to try and do our social activities in the mornings, since Mitzi gets pretty tuckered out right after lunch. Her mind is sharper in the morning and her balance tends to be much better before she gets worn out, so this has been the new norm for a few weeks now. After a walk around Costco, where we ran into a huge hug on Aisle 5, we had lunch with a good friend, saw another longtime pal, and even snuck some ice cream in…anything with peanut butter, of course!
When we went to leave the ice cream shop, we found that someone had parked on the diagonal and made it impossible for me to get Mitzi in the front seat. No worries, though, because we decided we’d just act out one of her favorite movies, Driving Miss Daisy, and I proceeded to turn around at every stop light and ask her if she still wanted me to take her to the Piggly Wiggly? She thought it was funny…and told me yes…every time…the whole way home! ????
