A while back we happened upon these little notes tacked onto a tree. Obviously they were written by someone pretty young, but it was such a simple, genius idea. How can you not stop and smile, and perhaps even reformat your whole entire day when something like this is so strategically plopped right in the middle of your path? Of course Mitzi picked the one that said, “Stay Happy.”
Sometimes, when life is getting the best of us and our world seems kind of bleak, we have to look really hard for the little bits of encouragement all around us. But they are there. Maybe not as obvious as these perfect little pieces of paper, but they’re there.
You know what else, though? Maybe we should do more of what that young person did and staple a little sunshine onto a tree for someone else to stumble upon and have a 2 inch slip of paper change their whole day…
