Bringing Awareness, Hope & Encouragement To The Fight Against Alzheimer's Disease & Dementia

The same year Mitzi’s mother passed away, so did her Mom’s dear friend, Elsa. I went to the service but Mitzi was not in attendance. Everyone was handed this small card and it was explained that it was a copy of one that had been found in her home after she passed away, and had been something she looked at daily.

I’ve read it to Mitzi on multiple occasions and explained who wrote it. She cries every single time because she loves these words so much, the meaning of the idea behind them, and the memory of her Mom’s sweet friend. Every time I read it to her, I’m astounded at how much of a parallel there is between Elsa’s outlook and Mitzi’s.

There are some really raw, rough, gut-punching reality moments with Alzheimer’s. But overall, I’ve never met anyone who has a better attitude about her situation than Mitzi. ????
