In going through some things of Mitzi’s, Gary discovered a treasure that he was kind enough to share with me and gave me permission to share it here.Because there is so much of Mitzi’s heart written on this hotel room stationary.It was hard to tell how long ago this was written, but it was long before I ever met her, yet none of these things were a surprise to me because when I knew her, so many of these were all still part of who she was. Even if Alzheimer’s had altered her ability to put her shoes on the correct feet or made her unable to use a fork any longer, it can’t erase the ways of the heart…????
