Mitzi sure does love any opportunity she has to hug these two. Her aunt and uncle hold a very special place in her heart. Aside from the superb hugs and a few laughs, her Aunt Barbara even made lots of her favorite foods! As we were driving out of their neighborhood, Mitzi was teary and said, “Today was a good day.” I have to admit, she’s not been having an easy time lately with her speech. She has trouble getting the words out much of the time, so it made my heart happy to hear her being a little more chatty and even cracking a few of her signature one-liners today…especially her summary of it being a good day.
