Bringing Awareness, Hope & Encouragement To The Fight Against Alzheimer's Disease & Dementia

As the sun sets on 2018, it’s hard not to reflect on the past year and all the events that the tide of time has brought onto the shore and those that have been washed away.

Often, the promise of a new year on the horizon brings hope that our lives will move forward in a way that propels us just a little bit closer to whatever “better” looks like in our minds. With Alzheimer’s, though, it’s a bit tougher to watch with hopeful expectation at what the next year’s tide will bring. But one of the true gifts of this disease is that you don’t have to look at the impending year as a whole, but rather, take each day…each moment, really…at a time, focusing on all the things to be grateful for in the present.

Mitzi has taught me time and time again to simply make the most of each moment, to love people where they are, and to walk with a faith that finds purpose in every day we are still here…????????
